BrowseHow to extract pages
- Drop your PDF above. The page count appears under the file name.
- In Pages to keep, type the pages you want, separated by commas. Use a dash for a range.
- Click Extract pages and download the new PDF.
Examples
4— just page 4.1-3— pages 1, 2 and 3.2, 5-7, 10— pages 2, 5, 6, 7 and 10.10, 1-9— all ten pages, with page 10 moved to the front.
Pages come out in the order you type them. If you type a page twice, it is only included once.
Extract vs split vs remove
- Extract (this page): you list the pages to keep.
- Remove pages: you list the pages to delete. Easier when you want to drop one or two.
- Split into single pages: every page becomes its own file.
Does it change the pages?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images are not recompressed. Links inside a page are kept with that page, but the bookmark sidebar of the original is not rebuilt. Fillable form fields may not carry over.
Private by design
The PDF is opened and processed by your browser. It is never uploaded, there is no account, and you can extract from as many files as you like. That makes it a good fit for statements, contracts and records you would rather not hand to a website.
Questions
Can I extract pages from a password-protected PDF?
Not here. Encrypted PDFs cannot be opened by this tool. Remove the password in the app that created it first.
Will the new file be smaller?
Usually, because it has fewer pages. To shrink it further, use Compress PDF.
