Split a PDF into single pages
Every page becomes its own PDF, numbered in order and packed into one zip. Done in your browser.

BrowseHow to split every page into its own file
- Drop your PDF on the box above.
- Click All pages as zip.
- Download the zip and open it. You will find files named like
report-page-01.pdf,report-page-02.pdfand so on.
The numbers are padded with zeros so the files sort in the right order in any folder.
Only need some pages?
Type the pages you want in Pages to keep, for example 3-5, and click Extract pages. That gives you one PDF with just those pages instead of a zip. To delete pages instead, switch to Remove pages, or use the Remove pages tool.
When single pages are handy
- Sending each invoice or payslip from a combined statement to a different person.
- Uploading forms that ask for one page per file.
- Filing a scanned stack of letters page by page.
Quality and privacy
Pages are copied exactly as they are, not printed to images, so text stays selectable and nothing gets blurrier. The splitting and zipping both happen in your browser. Your PDF is not uploaded and FilesStay never sees it.
Limits
- Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened here.
- A PDF with hundreds of pages takes longer and needs more memory, because each page is saved as a full PDF. On a phone, split very long files in parts.
- Each single-page file carries its own copy of any fonts it uses, so the zip can be larger than the original.
Questions
How do I open a zip file?
Double-click it on Windows or Mac. On iPhone, tap it in the Files app. On Android, open it in Files by Google or your file manager.
Is there a page limit?
No set limit. Long files simply take longer.
